The Criminal Justice Research and Planning Unit (CJRPU), in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme, will officially launch the Barbados National Task Force for the Strengthening of Evidence Based Decision-Making for the Citizen Security in the Caribbean (CariSECURE), next week.
The launch will take place at United Nations House, Marine Gardens, Hastings, Christ Church, next Wednesday, February 21, from 9 to 11 a.m.
Attorney General and Minister of Home Affairs, Adriel Brathwaite, will deliver the feature address.
A number of key documents including; Guidance Notes for Citizen Security Data Collection and Dissemination; Terms of Reference for the National Task Force; and an Information Sharing Agreement, will be signed by the Attorney General and key criminal justice stakeholders. (BGIS)
