Parish Land will be kicking with greater energy in the Barbados Football Association’s Division 1 competition after getting a boost from Barbados Labour Party candidate Wilfred Abrahams.

Official coordinator of the club’s activities, Amoy Gilding-Bourne, and a number of the footballers were on hand on Wednesday night to receive balls, nets, water bottles and irrigation equipment to enhance the rebuilding and running of the Christ Church organisation.

Abrahams indicated that he was on a mission to recapture and re-establish Parish Land’s sporting glory days where cricket and football were unifying forces in the heavily populated area.

Gilding-Bourne added that rebuilding their sport product would involve access to the community centre as well as properly maintaining the playing field.

“We thank Mr Abrahams for this support, which will be critical in making Parish Land a sporting Mecca once again,” said Gilding-Bourne. (KB)
