The official start of the Crop Over Festival has gotten off to a rocky start but so far it has been smooth sailing at the Cave Shepherd All Stars Calypso Tent.

The show began around 6 p.m. with hundreds in attendance at the St Gabriel’s School Auditorium who came to take in the sweet sounds of calypso.

And so far they have not been disappointed by the artistes including Franswa, Jael, Niqua and Jude Clarke who have all tackled political themes in their songs.

Colin Spencer, De Announcer and Donella are expected to take the stage later tonight. (TG)
