It was so nice, Warrens did it thrice. Peter Alleyne scored a game-high 21 points, including six triples, to lead Pan American International Insurance Warrens to their third straight junior basketball knockout title in Tuesday’s 87-47 rout of Spartans.

Playing at the Wildey Gym, Alleyne hit four of his three-pointers in the first quarter as the defending league champs put away the contest from the opening tip after racing out to a 26-13 lead.

He and Kevin Austin then hit two more on the other side of the break before Nicholas Grannum drilled a long-range jumper of his own to help stretch the lead to 46-28.

Javid Beckles then got in on the act by scoring six straight points during a stretch of the third quarter where the rangy swingman accounted for eight of Warren’s ten points.

Grannum then dropped in another trey in the fourth, moments after Richie Walker also scored one to extend Warrens’ advantage to 30 points.

Walker finished with 13 points and Beckles had 12 while Austin and Grannum both chipped in with ten. No Spartans player finished in double digits. (JM)
