Launch of project on heavy metals

The Environmental Protection Department is spearheading a project which seeks to safeguard Barbadians and their environment from the adverse impacts of heavy metals such as cadmium, mercury and lead.

The project will be launched on Monday, July 16, in the conference room of the Ministry of Environment and National Beautification, 10th Floor, Warrens Tower II, Warrens, St Michael, beginning at 10 a.m.

Minister of Environment and National Beautification, Trevor Prescod, will address the project launch, which is themed: Building Capacities to Strengthen the Management of Heavy Metals in Barbados. (BGIS)
