Duguid’s defence

BARBADIANS HAVE just over a month before they will have to place insurance stickers on their rear number plates.

But as Minister of Transport, Works and Maintenance Dr William Duguid touts the impact of the new changes, questions are being asked on how exactly the “C” licence plates and insurance stickers will be implemented following passage of the Road Traffic (Amendment Bill) 2018.

“What problem is the Government fixing by introducing these new plates? As far as I know, all commercial vehicles are easily identified by the weight board affixed to the right rear side of the vehicle,” Wayne T Griffith, among others, queried on Facebook. (AD)
