Caribbean Wellness Day on Saturday

The Ministry of Health and Wellness will host Caribbean Wellness Day on Saturday, September 8, in National Heroes’ Square and Broad Street, Bridgetown, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Minister of Health and Wellness, Lt. Col. Jeffrey Bostic will launch the National Task Force on Wellness, in Heroes Square at 10:30 a.m.

Caribbean Wellness Day, celebrated on the second Saturday in September, promotes physical activity, healthy eating and the elimination of tobacco use in order to reduce the risk factors associated with Non-Communicable Diseases.

The event, which is in its tenth year, has as its theme: Be Healthy, Stay Healthy . . . It’s Your Job. (BGIS)
