Seven of the 15 used garbage trucks the Mia Mottley administration is looking to import to boost the Sanitation Service Authority’s (SSA) fleet, should be here by next month.

“Within a month or so, we are going to have some trucks here,” Minister of Environment and National Beautification Trevor Prescod told the media after an event to commemorate World Ozone Day on Wednesday at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre.

He revealed the trucks would be coming from the United Kingdom.

“On the first occasion, there was some cloudy weather and we had to examine what was happening carefully. We are in a fairly good position now . . . . Seven should be in sometime next month,” he added. (SB)
