An early morning two-car collision resulted in a serious accident on the ABC highway at the junction near the Deighton Griffith School. It occurred about 1:50 a.m. when two cars collided, one of which overturned. Both were extensively damaged police said.
The male driver of the overturned vehicle was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance to be treated for injuries while the driver and female companion in the other car complained of head and foot injuries and sought private medical attention.
