Tired of an ongoing lull in St Lawrence Gap, a group of 12 business owners has come together to revive the once vibrant Christ Church strip to its former glory.

The united marketing efforts begin of The Gap on Wednesday night with a soft launch of Live Wednesdays, when several spots are expected to offer food, drinks and, of course, live entertainment.

Patrick Moufarrige, head of the I Love This Rock website, has been a major contributor to Project Gap. He said the revitalisation of the area came to his mind as he worked with restaurants, clubs and other businesses around the island to be highlighted on the digital platform.

“I kept looking at The Gap and I was frustrated with what it had become. I knew that it was a thousand times bigger and better. But now, not only have we allowed all of the business owners to come together properly, we’ve created an event which is going to be perpetuated every Wednesday from here on,” he said. (TG)
