Beach closure extended

Date:

Share post:

The public is advised that due to the severity of the inclement weather associated with Tropical Storm Kirk, it is necessary to extend the closure of the beaches from the entrance to St Lawrence Gap to the entrance of the Richard Haynes Boardwalk at Accra Beach, Christ Church, to 6 p.m. on Monday, October 1, 2018.

This is necessary to facilitate the continued opening of the sluice gate at Worthing, on account of the heavy rainfall to equalise the water levels in the Graeme Hall Swamp.

The closure of the beaches may be extended if conditions necessitate it. (MEWR/BGIS)
