Men to re-appear in court on pig-stealing charges

Three men charged with stealing 21 pigs and 12 bags of pig feed appeared in the District “F” Magistrate’s Court on Friday and were remanded until Monday when they will go before the District “D” Magistrate’s Court. A fourth man, also charged is detained at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. 

Jamal Emmanuel Lewis, 31, of Foster Hall, St John; Marlon Fitzgerald Boxill, 41, of Lodge Hill, St Michael; Kemar Shamar Turton, 21, of Lewis Gap, Green Hill, St Michael and Robert DaCosta Walker, 48, of #36 Seclusion Gardens Black Rock Saint Michael are charged with stealing the pigs and feed between June 19 and 20 this year at Greenland, St Andrew. 

Boxill, Turton and Walker appeared in the District “F” Magistrate’s Court on Friday before Magistrate Laurie-Anne Smith-Bovell and were remanded in custody until Monday, October 1 when they are expected to appear at the District “D” Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Ian Weekes. Accused Jamal Lewis is currently receiving medical attention at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. (AC)
