The Royal Barbados Police Force advises the public that today, Thursday, November 1, the Sagicor Life Inc. Lighting Ceremony will take place at Heroes Square from 5:30 p.m. The event is will conclude at 9 p.m.
The Force has taken proactive measures by implementing the following temporary road traffic changes which will be enforced from 5:30 p.m. this evening until the end of the ceremony.
Traffic changes are as follows:
1.      Wharf Road from its junction with Bridge Street and Broad Street from its junction with Prince William Henry Street will be closed to vehicular traffic from 3:30 p.m. until the end of the ceremony.
2.      Trafalgar Street from the junction of High Street to Rickett Street will closed to all vehicular traffic from 3 p.m. until the finish of the event.
3.      Parking in designated areas will be restricted to ONLY those vehicles bearing special stickers.
Police officers will be deployed along the mentioned roads to enforce these changes. The travelling public is advised to comply with the directions of Police Officers in uniform. (PR)
