Paradise moved up to second in Zone 2 of the Barbados Football Association’s Premier League following a 3-1 victory over the St Andrew Lions when top-flight action continued Sunday night at the Wildey Turf.

Brazilian Jefferson Silva gave the Lions the lead in the 18th minute but a Dario Harewood equaliser and two second-half strikes from Trevor Mayers and Armando “Suga” Lashley were enough to secure the three points for the Dover base side.

Paradise, who were playing without attacking mid-fielder Ackeel Applewhaite and coach Kenville Layne who are currently in Miami, Florida, representing Barbados at the Concacaf Under-20 Championships, were aided by an outstanding goalkeeping display by Paul Doughty throughout.

Unlike the two previous encounters there was a very quick start to the final game on an evening that saw 12 goals. (AG-B)
