Human resources manager at the Barbados Agricultural Development and Marketing Corporation (BADMC), Elaine Bourne, has been placed on “immediate precautionary suspension”, following the retrenchment debacle two weeks ago.

Unconfirmed reports also suggested that chief executive officer (CEO), Shawn Tudor, could be facing disciplinary charges.

THE NATION has been reliably informed that correspondence was sent to Bourne on Tuesday informing her that disciplinary action was being contemplated, and inviting her to attend a meeting before the external independent disciplinary committee on November 20.

“Until such time as the disciplinary hearing and the report from the disciplinary committee has been completed and submitted with findings, you are placed on immediate precautionary suspension with full pay,” the letter, a copy of which was obtained by this newspaper, stated. (MB)
