Out-of-favour former national football captain Mario Harte is back.

Although technical director Ahmed Mohamed has not yet named the 23-man squad for Sunday’s Concacaf Nations League qualifying match against United States Virgin Islands (USVI), Harte and three other high-profile players are expected to be in the team and could feature in the starting line-up.

Ellerton’s striker Shakille Belle, Weymouth Wales’ midfielder Romario “Pete” Harewood, defender Ricardio Morris and Harte have all been training with the squad at the Barbados Football Association’s (BFA) Wildey AstroTurf.

It is good news for football fans after it was reported on Wednesday that captain Rashad Jules will be forced to miss the match having picked up a groin injury playing for his club on November 4. (AGB)
