National sporting federations are showing great improvement in the area of administration as a result of their participation in the Barbados Independence Invitational (BiiG) Games.

This was revealed by BiiG local organising committee member Ytannia Wiggins during an interview with NATIONSPORT.

“They are producing high-quality events. Each federation has raised the standard of its organisation in terms of staging events,” she said.

“We generally rate the federations and it’s a template that they all had ahead of time so as opposed to just saying ‘do this’, we gave them an assessment and said these are the areas we need to hit. In terms of grading so far the ones from last year have improved and the new ones have followed through as well.” (RG)
