Prime Minister Mia Mottley is urging CARICOM to find a common vision for the private sectors in member states, with a view to maximising the CARICOM Single Market and Economy (CSME).

And that chance was given to scores of the region’s private sector stakeholders on Monday, after Mottley’s suggestion was accepted by Heads of Government.

She made the suggestion during brief remarks in Trinidad and Tobago, where she is attending a special two-day Heads of Government meeting, on the insistence of Trinidad and Tobago Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley.

The sole agenda item of the meeting was the future of the CSME, and Mottley made it clear the private sector would have an integral part to play going forward. (BA)
