Police have responded to reports of a shooting and are on the scene at Nelson Street in the city.
The incident occurred just after 8 this morning when 39-year-old Neverlaine Springer, of 3rd Avenue Spooners Hill, St Michael was shot in the left calf and foot by a male assailant.
Springer was taken to hospital by private transportation. (SB)
