Some Public Service Vehicle (PSV) operators are on strike.

Preliminary reports indicate it stems from issues affecting the sector.

An emergency meeting was called last night between owners, operators and the Transport Authority to head off today’s action which coincided with the start of the Hilary school term.

Workers also met with the National Union of Public Workers last night.

After 8 this morning, it was quiet in both the Cheapside and Constitution River Terminals in The City.

There were a few vehicles still operating, moving the people who were going about their business.

More details as they come. (TG/SAT)
