Thirty-nine-year-old Jonathan Alexander Worrell denied assaulting the mother of his child when he appeared in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.

Worrell, a mason, of No. 118 Husbands Gardens, St James, pleaded not guilty to assaulting Shakita Walton on Tuesday.

Station Sergeant Cameron Gibbons did not object to bail. Walton told Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant she was scared of Worrell, but the magistrate told her she could not go into the facts as Worrell had pleaded not guilty. She warned him to stay away from the woman. He was released on $2 000 bail until October 8.
