The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) has released a statement updating the public on the upgrades at the Desalination Plant by Ionics Freshwater Limited.

Some systems at the plant are still being tested, however once this process is complete, the plant will gradually be put back online.

It is expected that during the course of tonight, residents in the districts affected by water outages and low pressure will see a gradual return of normal water supply into their areas.

The public is reminded that it will take some time for water levels in the reservoirs affected by low levels to normalise, and service to return to all of the affected districts. (PR)
