UPDATE: Shooting death in Ruby

A 28-year-old man was shot and killed at Ruby Tenantry, St Philip, just after 8:30 p.m. today.

Police said the man lived at Sunny Side Court, Deacons Farm, St Michael, but was staying at the home of a friend in the area.

He was sitting in a chair just outside the house when “loud and sudden explosions were heard”.  His body was discovered by a resident of the house where he was staying.

Ambulance personnel were called and they confirmed he was dead at the scene.

His name has not been released.
