Two English-born Premier League footballers are set to give the Barbados senior national football team a massive boost.

Bournemouth defender Tyrone Mings and Derby County striker Nick Blackman have been cleared to represent Barbados on international duty and could make their debuts at home in the first Concacaf Nations League match against St Martin in September.

The skilful pair, who were recently in Barbados as ambassadors for the Concacaf NextPlay grass-roots festival at the Barbados Football Association’s headquarters in Wildey, St Michael, have a wealth of experience.

They have played at the highest level in Europe and will be major additions to the squad. (AG-B)
