First Citizen De Big Show has the lion’s share of the finalists for the Courtesy Pic-O-De-Crop Competition, with seven being announced early this morning after an hour and 20 minutes after deliberations.

They are followed by Cave Shepherd All Stars with six, House of Soca with three and Stray Cats with one.

There are seven women and 10 men.

Among them are former monarchs of various National Cultural Foundations competitions. Noticeably absent was De Announcer who was at the final tent but left before the names were called. Of the six tents judged, none came from Shining Stars or Super Gladiators.

At the last tent Shining Stars, which was judged at Solidarity House, many calypsonians came to lend support.

There was a tie, so no reserve was announced to go forward to meet defending monarch Mr Blood, who is from De Big Show tent.

The finalists:

Cave Shepherd All Stars – Donella, Granny, Jude Clarke, Kid Site, Sammy Dello, Teri.

First Citizens De Big Show – Adrian Clarke, Chrystal, Classic, Edwin Yearwood, Jamal Slocombe, Mistah Dale, T.C.

House of Soca: Faith, Miss Sammy G, Rameses.

Stray Cats: Sammy Jane
