If any of the 17 finalists think it will be easy to stop Mr Blood from making it two in a row, they are underestimating him in the Courtesy Pic-O-De-Crop finals on August 2.

“I am preparing myself, and my song is constantly being tweaked. I am getting all concepts down to make sure I can defend to the best of my abilities,” he told the Sunday Sun early yesterday after the names were announced.

“I am feeling pretty good with the song I have decided to render and I am confident that finals night will be an exciting and energetic one.”

Mr Blood, who is also into the Soca Monarch finals next Sunday, sent congratulations to the finalists, especially his tentmates. (NS)
