Desalination plant offline to conduct emergency work

The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) is advising the public that the Ionics Freshwater Limited located on Spring Garden will be offline from 3 p.m. today, to facilitate emergency work. 

The BWA is therefore informing customers that no loss of water service is anticipated. However, customers residing in the following parishes may experience low pressure:  

In St Thomas: Cane Garden, Arthur Seat, Welches Heights, Bagatelle Park, Bagatelle Gardens, Melrose, Redman’s Village, Edgehill, Welches Terrace, Padmore Village and the surrounding areas.

In St James: Husbands, Oxnards, Haynesville, Holders Hill, Prior Park, Thorpes, Apes Hill, Lower Mount Standfast, The Garden, Weston and surrounding districts.

In St Michael: St Stephen’s, Grazettes, Cave Hill, University Drive, Wanstead and surrounding areas.
