The battle lines have been drawn for the biggest sporting job in this country – the presidency of the Barbados Cricket Association (BCA).

Conde Riley says his record speaks for itself and legend Joel “Big Bird” Garner has flown back into contention two years after stepping down from position.

Canvassing has already started for the August 14 elections at what should be an enthralling showdown between Garner, the 66-year-old former fast bowling great and Riley, the incumbent, who is seeking a second term.

With nominations having closed on Wednesday, the BCA announced the full list of candidates yesterday for the positions of president, secretary and board directors. (MK)
