The 25-year-old man who posted a video last April Fool’s Day pretending that he had been stabbed, is now fighting for his life at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) after being shot on Thursday night.

Police public relations officer, Inspector Rodney Inniss, confirmed yesterday that Oneal Alistair Chase of Block 2D Maxwell View, Silver Hill, Christ Church, who received a gunshot injury to the face during an altercation with another man was the same alias “Rabbit” who police warned on April 1 when the video went viral on social media.

Inniss said police were conducting investigations into the shooting incident, which occurred around 6:10 p.m. on Thursday.

He explained that Chase was walking in the Silver Hill area when a man approached him on foot.

“As the man got closer, he and the victim became engaged in a heated argument. The assailant then pulled a firearm from his waist and fired in the direction of the victim striking him in the face. The victim ran off in the direction of Maxwell View, Christ Church, and the assailant walked off in the direction of Montrose, Christ Church. (News Desk)
