Man facing firearm, ammo charges

Yesterday, police from the Anti-Gun and Gangs Unit arrested and charged 20-year-old Romeldo Ricardo Mayers of Block 3D Pleasant Hall, St Matthias, Christ Church in connection with a number of offences.

He was charged with possession of a firearm without a valid licence, and possession of ammunition.

On Tuesday, August 22, police intercepted a vehicle on Pine Road with three occupants.

The occupants and the vehicle were searched and one Glock pistol and ten rounds of ammunition were found in Mayers’ pants pocket. An empty magazine was also discovered. (PR)
