Jerry Nathaniel Haynes, 47, of Halls Village # 1, St James was sentenced to two years in prison after being charged with a number of drug related offences.
He was charged with possession of cannabis, possession of cannabis with intent to supply, trafficking cannabis, and cultivation.
On August 28, police executed a search warrant at Haynes’ residence where they discovered 234 plants between one and six feet tall under cultivation. They also discovered loose quantities of cannabis.
The total weight of the cannabis found was 32.9 kilogrammes with an estimated street value of $131 600.
Haynes appeared at the Holetown Magistrates Court on Monday before Magistrate Wanda Blair where he pleaded guilty to all the offences. He was sentenced to two years in prison on the trafficking charge and was convicted reprimanded and discharged on the possession of cannabis, possession with intent to supply and cultivation charges.
