Andrea Maynard stood behind the yellow police caution tape yesterday crying and in disbelief as her son’s body lay in a cart road a few feet away, the victim of a brutal attack.
The body of Kevin Atherley, 25, of Padmore Village, St Philip, was discovered at Harrow, a stone’s throw away from his home, five hours after he said goodbye to his mother and rode away on a bicycle to go to his construction job at Skeete’s Bay, St Philip.
From her vantage point, Maynard could only see Kevin’s bicycle on the ground. She sadly recalled the brief exchange between them before he left for work. (MB)
