Monument for Barrow’s birthplace

We Gatherin’ 2020 will see a monument of the right Excellent Errol Walton Barrow being erected at the birthplace of the “Father of Independence,” The Garden, St Lucy.

This was revealed by Member of Parliament for St Lucy Peter Phillips as he addressed a media briefing yesterday at River Bay, St Lucy.

St Lucy is the first stop for the We Gatherin’ 2020 activities and will see an entire month of activities being held across the parish, commencing with a picnic and concert called Gather At De Bay – Old Time Picnic at River Bay on January 1st.

Phillips said: “During 2020, St Lucy will focus on families, achievement, institutions, talent and heritage, which represents FAITH.”   (KI)
