‘Big Artist’ remanded

An apparent prank to get “likes” on social media backfired on self-proclaimed “big artist” Timothy Anthony St Pierre – the man seen dancing on Chefette’s counter in a WhatsApp video.

“I am a big artist, Sir, so I was just entertaining Chefette at that point in time. And I know the year was finishing, so that was what I was doing,” St Pierre declared yesterday.

However, not even an offer to do “an apology song” to the management of the fast food restaurant could stop him from being remanded to prison when he appeared in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court.

St Pierre, 27, a farmer, of King William Street, Nelson Street, The City, who rose to notoriety with the circulation of the WhatsApp video, confessed that having entered the Lower Broad Street branch of Chefette on December 31, he misconducted himself by behaving in an annoying manner. (HLE)
