The Alliance Owners of Public Transport (AOPT) is advising public service vehicle operators to limit passengers, not to allow any passengers to sit near the driver and to clean their vehicles regularly.

These rules, which they want implemented immediately, are part of the AOPT’s guidelines to mitigate cases of COVID-19.

“As a responsible association, our interest at this time is to fight to curb the spread of COVID-19 and as far as possible ensure the safety of us all while continuing to service the public transport needs of this island,” it said in a press release yesterday.
