Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley last night chided some people who disobeyed social distancing protocols by making a run on almost every supermarket yesterday

She described the action as anxious exuberance, noting that Barbadians can do better.

Mottley also indicated that a solution to supermarket shopping should be realised soon as owners continued to fine-tune a process which would cater to heavy e-commerce shopping and delivery services during the lockdown.

“Things have changed. This is a difficult time. We haven’t seen this type of confusion before, but we can do better than this,” she said in the recorded address.
