Acting Prime Minister Santia Bradshaw has issued an apology to the media fraternity following a contentious statement.

On Thursday, during a post-Cabinet briefing, she told Barbadians to pay attention to the updates from reliable sources and named only the Government Information Service.

However, president of the Barbados Association of Journalists and Media Workers, Emmanuel Joseph, in a release, asked Bradshaw to retract her statement and “provide clarity to her intended message in the interest of the integrity and reliability of the established and reputable media houses in this country”.
Bradshaw responded during yesterday’s Down To Brass Tacks call-in programme.
