A drug peddling curfew breaker was jailed for six months this morning.
Curtis Arnold Hinkson, 44, of Block 1B Ocean Road, Deacons Farm, St Michael admitted that he stupidly took a chance to be on the road during curfew hours today to sell cocaine and cannabis.
He did it, he said, to support his 13-year-old son since he was out of work.
Patrolling police came across Hinkson sitting alone about 12:30 a.m. in Dodson Land, Black Rock, St Michael and he fled upon seeing them.
However, the officers caught him and found an Ensure bottle with 51.8 grams of cocaine valued $260 and vials with 26.5 grams of cocaine valued $265.
“I took the stupid chance ‘cause right now things slow with work and I still have to contribute to my son,” he told the Criminal Court No.1.
Magistrate Wayne Clarke sentenced Hinkson to six months on the charges of breaching the curfew, trafficking and possession of cocaine and possession and supplying of cannabis.
On the charges of supplying cocaine and trafficking in cannabis Hinkson was convicted, reprimanded and discharged. (AC)
