Remanded after pleading not guilty

Shane Lamar Hoyte, 33, was remanded after he pleaded not guilty to breaking the national curfew and other charges.

The Parkinson Field, Pinelands, St Michael resident appeared on charges of causing actual bodily harm to Natasha Prentice, wounding Vere Agard, threatening to kill Agard and damaging a door belonging to Agard all on April 8.

Prosecutor Sergeant Vernon Waithe objected to bail for Hoyte on the grounds that the charges were serious, that one of the charges related to the COVID-19 curfew and that Hoyte was already on bail for other serious matters.

Magistrate Wayne Clarke, sitting in the Criminal Court No. 1, ordered Hoyte kept until May 8. (AC)
