With plans to dine at hotels and restaurants cancelled because of the coronavirus (COVID-19), many Barbadians took to the beach on Sunday with friends and family to enjoy the early part of Mother’s Day.
For 70-year-old Angela Greene who was sitting on the sand at Browne’s Beach, St Michael, just after 8 a.m., she was happy to be able to come out and enjoy the atmosphere.
“Some years we go out or have a big luncheon at home and this year we planned to do it home, but that won’t happen.
“But so far I’m enjoying myself, because I was able to wake up and see the sun, so I am happy,” the mother of five added. (TG)
