The morning was not without a few hiccups when students went to their respective centres to sit the Barbados Secondary School’s Examination this morning.

Parents and students arrived at the St Leonard’s Boys School from as early as 7:30 a.m. and soon a large crowd of people gathered at the gate.

At The Ellerslie School, the scene was no different and by 8 a.m. there was a sea of people at the gate. By the time the guards and police officers got the situation under control, it was soon time for the scores of children outside the gate to take the test.

However, by 8:45 a.m. the last group of pupils were entering the compound and walked briskly to the exam rooms.

At the St Leonard’s Boys School 200 children took the exam, while 158 were accommodated at The Ellerslie School. (SB)
