Three more test positive for COVID-19

Three people entered the isolation facility at Harrison Point, St Lucy, after testing positive for COVID-19 on Saturday.

The new cases are a 33-year-old male visitor and a 42-year-old Barbadian man, who both came into Barbados aboard British Airways on August 25 and were positive yesterday on their second test

The other is a 24-year-old Bahamian female student, who arrived on Saturday on Caribbean Airlines from the Bahamas via Jamaica.

Meanwhile, four people left the isolation facility after recovering from the viral illness. 

There are now 173 confirmed cases, 21 people in isolation, and 145 people who recovered. There were seven deaths.

The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory conducted 277 tests on Saturday, 17 057 overall. (PR/SAT)
