‘Still together’ despite virtual Funathlon

This year’s Nation Funathlon ended on a high note yesterday with organisers thanking Barbadians “all over the world” for playing their part in the virtual event.

Nation Group Marketing Executive Romaine Lovell said they were pleased with the execution of this year’s event spread over two days, despite restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“For the past 30 years the Funathlon has been an event that Barbadians look forward to, where they not only spend time with their friends, family, schoolmates and co-workers, but they also give back.

“This year, however, we had to pivot and that led to us hosting the first virtual event because we wanted to make sure everyone who participated was safe.” (TG)
