Seven employees of Kooyman megastore have now tested positive for COVID-19.

Spokesperson Marsha van der Maas confirmed yesterday that five more people had contracted the virus since they announced last week that two staff members were positive.

However, she said that none of the people who tested positive had returned to the Kendall Hill, Christ Church hardware store as they were awaiting their results. She added that all 105 employees were tested in recent weeks and were still awaiting results.

“According to the last results that came from the Ministry of Health, we are now at seven, including those before. Fortunately, all of those seven people were identified in the first group that we sent home. They were not in the store since last (week) Saturday, and all of the people surrounding them have been tested as well and they are all connected,” said van der Maas. (TG)
