Government has started to roll out the financial assistance promised to small business owners during the two-week lockdown.

But it may take a longer for some vendors without bank accounts to receive their money.

Late last month Minister of Small Business and Entrepreneurship Kerrie Symmonds announced that shopkeepers could qualify for $750 a week for two weeks and vendors $250 a week for that same period since they are barred from operating between February 3 to 17.

Shortly after the micro-business owners submitted information, including their names and account numbers, the funds were distributed. (TG)
