Beach time to unwind

MANY BARBADIANS spent their bank holiday relaxing at the beach yesterday.

At Brandons in St Michael, members of the Brownes Beach Paddle Ballers Association and Miami Beach Paddle Ballers Association were visiting the Brandons Paddle Ballers Association.

“Every bank holiday we come down to Brandons, on Saturdays we go Brownes beach and on Sundays we go Miami [Enterprise],” said Carlos Collymore. “Paddle ball is a big thing in Barbados and people from different professions come together to have fun, unwind and keep fit. The associations each have a young group and an old group and the old groups go back as much as 30 years.

“After work in the evenings we usually come out and get a sweat but on holidays we come early in the morning and fellowship afterwards.” (SB)
