Some residents in St Joseph are querying why the St Joseph Outpatient Clinic is not in operation.

Their concerns follow a reopening ceremony for the Horse Hill medical facility on May 10 that was attended by Government officials including Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley and Minister of Health Jeffrey Bostic.

When the DAILY NATION visited the area on Tuesday, some residents wanted to know why 17 days after the reopening ceremony, the clinic was still closed.

When contacted, Minister of Health Jeffrey Bostic said: “The clinics start on June 1, with the clinics previously offered. We are working on extending the services but are hampered because of the involvement of polyclinics in the vaccine roll out and the need for additional staff.” (SB)
