Barbados wins Fair Play Award

Barbados is the recipient of the Scotiabank Concacaf Fair Play award.

President of the Barbados Football Association (BFA), Randy Harris, collected the prestigious trophy over the weekend, after the senior national football team was voted the best-conducted squad on the field of play in the Concacaf Nations League (CNL) tournament.

The Bajan Tridents were the winners of League C of the CNL and Harris was handed the silverware by Concacaf president and businessman, Victor Montagliani, after the final between Mexico and United States at the Bronco Stadium in Denver.

Harris said “very good referee and match commissioner reports” put Barbados in line for the award.

“As the president of the BFA, I think fair play award at this time is something that we are really proud of and we expect in the near future, we will not only be receiving a fair play award but a trophy for being adjudged champions of a tournament,” he said. (AGB)
