One man tests positive for COVID on Wednesday

The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory identified one new positive case of COVID-19, a male, out of the 521 tests conducted on Wednesday, June 16.

The number of people in isolation is 12.

Barbados recorded 4 039 confirmed cases of COVID-19 (1 952 females and 2 087 males) since March 2020.  Forty-seven persons died from the virus.

The public health laboratory carried out 178 324 tests.

There were 89 921 first doses administered under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19.  Additionally, 63 429 received second doses of the vaccine and are fully vaccinated. (BGIS)
