Coast Guard rescues two fishermen

The Barbados Coast Guard (BCG) conducted a successful search and rescue yesterday for two fishermen onboard the fishing vessel X24 Sunsea II.

The BCG deployed HMBS Rudyard Lewis approximately 99 nautical miles southwest of Barbados, after receiving reports that the fishing vessel was experiencing mechanical difficulties.

The vessel was towed to the Bridgetown Fisheries Complex.

The search and rescue commenced on Friday. There were no injuries. (PR)
